Haunted House?
Glue a long rectangle to a background paper, then add two roofs, a chimney and steps. Using oil pastels, draw details on the house including windows, logs, shingles, ghosts and goblins. A scarey tree and a large round moon help to make this house a hit!
Students love to look at dream houses from house plan books. Let them choose one and try to draw it. The house can be traced in marker or painted with watercolors.
Pastel Silhouettes
Cover a piece of paper with pastels, draw the contour of something like a city, animal or person. Glue it on top of the pastel.
3-D Castles
Students draw, cut, and fold to make this construction paper castle
Scrap Dragons
Clean out the scrap box, find a head, body, tail, and feet. Glue it together and decorate his habitat
